  • To be recognized as a leader in the preservation of the aquatic environment.
  • To provide services which recognize and meet the diverse needs of the Alberta underwater enthusiasts.
  • To provide Albertans with the opportunity to participate in underwater activities.
Alberta Underwater Archaeology Society

The Alberta Underwater Archaeology Society provides an interesting alternative for the sport diver. The Society conducts activities in compliance with existing regulations and within archaeology principles so as not to unintentionally destroy prominent cultural resources. The plaque placed on the barge at the bottom of Patricia Lake at Jasper, marking Operation Habakkuk is an example of the Society's work.
